Caravana Humanitaria por la Vida

In 2019 a Humanitarian Caravan for Life travelled to the Riosucio catchment area in
Chocó, Colombia to document unsatisfied basic needs of the population. Composed of social organizations, activists, journalists, researchers, and aid workers, the Caravan documented clear violations of human rights, the absence of the State and institutions, the militarization of the zone, and a lack of adequate infrastructure, health, and education services. More information can be found here.

The Closure of the Serbian-Hungarian Border

On September 4th, 2015, the Hungarian government passed laws to dissuade asylum-seekers from entering its territory. In particular, the new measures « make it a criminal offence to cross or damage the fence, and illegal border crossings will be punishable by up to three years in jail ». On the night of September 14th, the government closed the main border crossing area, along a train track that crossed from Serbia into Hungary. The ensuing chaos resulted in the abandonment of the encampment established in a field on the Hungarian side of the border, rerouting walkers towards a nearby border point where there was no humanitarian assistance. In the following days, asylum-seekers would protest the closure of the border and systematic rejection of asylum applications. Nairobi Roads

The streets of Nairobi are both public and private spaces, depending on where you’re sitting.
Vehicles saturate this rapidly growing metropolis, and provide a privileged, and often contrasted, view of urban life.
Series published in Paris Lit Up Magazine, Issue 3 (2015), as an experimental photo essay on the image and conflict
(Stirring up Atrocity n°1-n°6, pp. 84-93).

Participatory Cities

Geneva’s many participatory and cooperative housing schemes involve consultations with residents of buildings and neighbourhoods. These images come from two projects, the Energise workshops with residents of a housing cooperative in Geneva, and a participatory workshop for residents of the Saint Jean neigbhourhood of Geneva.
